Larry Tidwell was called to be the pastor at FBC Sterling in September 2017.

Larry and his wife, Tina, met and were married in Abilene, Texas in February 1997. They attended Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri originally looking to go on to do mission work over-seas. During their time in Missouri, they had three children: Morgan, Cameron, and Jordan. 

Larry and Tina began their journey into full-time ministry together. While attending college Larry and Tina were called to become houseparents at the Baptist Home for Girls in Madill, Oklahoma where they spent almost nine years. Larry was also called to serve as a youth pastor before being called to FBC Sterling.

When Larry moved to Sterling, he discovered some fun new hobbies: fishing, hunting and gardening, which he uses frequently in his sermons. Larry also enjoys sports; his favorite teams are the Denver Bronchos and St. Louis Cardinals. Larry's greatest passion is preaching the Gospel as revealed in the Word of God.
